Cozy
Baker, Brewster Society Founder |
|
Known as the First Lady of American Kaleidoscopes, Cozy Baker practically invented scope collecting in the 20th Century. Starting with the first-ever national kaleidoscope show, which she curated at the Strathmore Art Center in suburban Washington DC in 1985, she has tirelessly, generously promoted kaleidoscopes, the artists who make them and the galleries that show them, putting these in touch with each other and with collectors all over the world through the Brewster Society, its annual events and its quarterly newsletter, News Scope. |
